IES names current COO Matthew Simmes as its chief executive officer

IES (NASDAQ:IESC) said its chief operating officer and president, Matthew Simmes, will succeed Jeffrey Gendell as CEO, effective on July 1.
Simmes will continue in his role as president and will join the board.
Gendell, who was appointed chairman in 2016 and CEO in 2020, will become executive chairman.
Simmes has spent over three decades at IES in a variety of increasingly senior roles.
