As part of my day-to-day tasks, I like to scavenge through online retailers, looking for any new deals that may have slipped through the cracks. And I'm happy to report that I found one. Over at Amazon, multiple configurations of the iPad Air M3 are on sale for $100 off.

For example, the 128GB, Wi-Fi iPad Air M3 in Purple is $499. The Wi-Fi and Cellular version is on sale, too, but it only received a $65 discount. You'll notice this pricing difference in other builds. A 256GB, Wi-Fi iPad in Space Gray will be $100 off, but the cellular tablet is only, like, $70 off.
Be aware that these prices don't take AppleCare+ into account. If you opt for the insurance, the final price will go up by an extra $70 or so -- sometimes more. It depends on what you buy.
Apple's iPad Air M3 launched back in March 2025 and, thanks to its M3 chipset, is one of the best-performing models in its series. Compared to the previous generation, this tablet boasts (roughly) 17% better processing power. ZDNET Staff Writer Maria Diaz states in her review that these improvements can be noticeably felt while multitasking or rendering images. Everything feels faster.
When paired up with the new Magic Keyboard, the iPad Air M3 can double as an effective work laptop. Not only does it perform decently, but the tablet is lighter and smaller than a MacBook Pro. Do keep in mind that it is not an outright replacement for a laptop. However, if you want something that can switch between a tablet and a laptop seamlessly and lets you stay in Apple's tech ecosystem, this iPad model is the best there is.

I also can't forget to mention the Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools to generate texts and summarize documents, Image Playground to create images on the fly, as well as an improved Siri to provide more detailed, context-aware responses.

How I rated this deal
As per ZDNET's rating system, I give this deal a 2/5. It's not a super big discount, but Apple tech, especially iPads, hardly goes on sale outside of major sales events. If you're looking for a new tablet for work, art, or just entertainment, now is the best time to get an iPad Air M3.
